Description

Hinds Hospice, one of the most well-known and well-respected nonprofit agencies in California’s Central Valley and a pioneer in the practice of hospice and palliative care, is seeking a Human Resources Associate for 6 months on a temporary assignment to join our team.

The Human Resources Associate utilizes working knowledge of human resource practices to assist with human resources administration and department projects and project management. Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, utilizes comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local laws to assist in all areas of HR, with an emphasis in HRIS management, records compliance and management, benefits administration, credentials management, workers’ compensation, and leave of absence compliance.

Qualifications


  • Compensation $24 - $26 hourly
    • Paid Sick
    • Paid Mileage

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience highly desirable.
  • 1-3 years HR experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • PHR Certification a plus
  • Superb customer service skills and sense of urgency in a service environment.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft WORD, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Basic compliance expertise regarding federal and state employment law, including ADA, FMLA, CFRA, and COBRA.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to complete accurate high quality work in a time-sensitive fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • An enthusiastic and proactive individual with a positive attitude.
  • Highly professional style to handle sensitive situations and confidential information.
  • Possess reliable automobile which may be used in the course of work, and have a valid California drivers license with acceptable driving record and proof of auto insurance and current auto registration.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (i.e., Push, Pull, Lift/Carry 10 lbs.)

Angel Babies offers a perinatal hospice program designed for families who have received this diagnosis, offering support and comfort during pregnancy and providing ideas for creating loving memories.
