Job Title: Bookkeeper/Office Assistant
Reports To: Superintendent
Dept: Office and Accounting
Position Type: Part-time, 3 days weekly year-round
Compensation: Hourly, $14-$15 per hour
Qualifications:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent basic math skills
· Demonstrate good computer skills
· Ability to multi-task
· Ability to work independently without direct supervision
· Display evidence of good task and project follow-through
· Possess excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
· Enjoy working with children and families
· Abide by Heritage Christian School Statement of Faith and Philosophy
· Able to pass Ohio Revised Code required background check and drug/alcohol testing
Role and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for many different functions in a school office.
· Enter information into Quickbooks including accounts payable and accounts receivable
· Answer telephone calls and questions about invoices and orders
· Make purchases for the school
· Maintain human resource and new employee files
· Enter student information into databases and Ohio Governmental systems
· Assist Leadership Team members with tasks and projects
· Update and maintain student records
· Assist with planning and coordinating events throughout the year
· Help students with minor first aid
· Prepare reports
· Enter student information into FACTS and other student systems
· Help with student dismissal
· Filing
· Serve as a role model for students and staff through professionalism in all areas, including appearance, responsibility and positive customer service.
· Operate with a Christian worldview in all areas
· Other duties as assigned
