Position Summary

Responsibility of Senior Revenue Accountant is to oversee GAAP revenue recognition and loan servicing system for loan related activities (funding, amendment, restructure, payoff…etc.), including tracking accounts receivable. Part of the five-member team who acts as the point of contact for Deal and Legal team members by providing loan related information (payoff calculation, amortization schedule, monthly payments, etc.). Analyze and perform revenue flux and help with revenue projections. Supporting monthly/quarterly close cycle by performing day to day accounting administrative functions such as reviewing the journal entry information received from the loan servicing administrator, preparing account reconciliations, booking JE and collecting other accounting information.

Essential Responsibilities

• Responsible for GAAP revenue recognition and loan servicing system for loan related activities (funding, amendment, restructure, payoff, etc.) for ~$2.5B portfolio
• Review journal entries related to loan servicing received from the loan servicing administrator – fundings, payoffs, amendments and collections, in accordance with legal documentation and due diligence memos
• Analyze loan accounting system reports, research errors on loan accounts and process adjusting entries, record entries in GL
• Perform account reconciliations & tie outs of general ledger to loan servicing software
• Analyze revenue from a holistic perspective, including analysis and explanation for revenue fluctuations, yield analysis and help with revenue projections
• Assist reviewing LSA and terms for accurate revenue recognition, and perform Technical Accounting/GAAP research as needed
• Prepare technical memos on accounting for debt restructures (ASC 310/470), assessment of accounting and reporting treatment in compliance with GAAP and accounting policies
• Assemble documentation to summarize and evidence quarterly processes for SOX and audit compliance and portfolio Audit confirmation process. Liaise with external and internal auditors.
• Verify portfolio transaction activity and accounting records against legal documentation and due diligence and
• Perform ad hoc analyses as requested.

Qualifications

• CPA required
• Five to six years’ experience in accounting/operations or technical accounting positions
• Professional experience in a financial services environment preferred, but not required.
• Strong analytical capabilities/ understanding of US GAAP/ Familiarity with public reporting.
• Professional or significant personal experience using Microsoft Excel to consolidate and analyze data.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a very fast paced environment, take initiative, and show accountability.

Annual Salary: $120,000
