The law firm of Hayes Wakayama Juan is seeking a full-time legal assistant for immediate hire to add to our boutique firm. Preferred candidates should be highly organized, detail-oriented individuals who are motivated to learn legal procedures with preferred 2-5 previous years of experience as a legal secretary or administrator. This position will mainly entail:
Calendaring and setting reminders ahead of deadlines;
Setting up Zoom and BlueJeans video conferences;
Saving and organizing correspondences, filings and documents as they are received both in electronic and hard copy formats;
Corresponding with clients and other law firms;
Assisting our attorneys in preparing shells and formatting documents in Word;
Preparing briefing and witness binders ahead of scheduled hearings and depositions;
Finalizing and submitting documents for electronic filing mainly in Clark County, Nevada District Court, Clark County, Nevada Probate Court, Nevada Federal Court, and the Nevada Supreme Court; and
Various clerical tasks in the fields of civil litigation, personal injury, probate and estate planning, and construction defect.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The rate of pay is competitive and will be based upon experience. We also offer benefits, including 401K with matching, health, dental and vision insurance.
