Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide support to our legal team and assist in various administrative tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for the legal field and a desire to contribute to a dynamic and growing law firm.
We offer competitive compensation based on experience, as well as employer-paid medical benefits, 401k with employer contribution, and generous PTO.
Hybrid remote work considered on a case-by-case basis.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in managing legal cases, drafting legal documents, and preparing correspondence
- Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Organize and maintain legal files, both physical and electronic
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, depositions, hearings, and other appointments
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel professionally and efficiently
- Assist in the preparation of trial materials, exhibits, and other supporting documents
- Conduct factual investigations and gather relevant information for cases
- Filing and serving legal documents with Courts
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, managing calendars, and maintaining office supplies
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal is preferred
- Familiarity with legal case management software is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Ability to write clear and concise legal documents
- Experience in project management is desirable
