Hart to Heart Transportation is Hiring a Human Resources Manager Near Philadelphia, PA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join the team for our Philadelphia location. As the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR department, including talent acquisition, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Human Resources policies, procedures, and practices and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties:

  • Investigate team member issues, customer complaints, and policy violations.
  • Handle team member relations including performance coaching and disciplinary actions.
  • Conduct terminations of team members when necessary.
  • Collaborate and coach supervisors and managers in progressive disciplinary action with team members.
  • Assist in creation of employment processes and strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements applicable to the company in accordance with State/Federal regulations and any applicable steps required to maintain the certification.
  • Ensure excellent customer service in the delivery of HR solutions to impact business productivity and results.
  • Assist managers, supervisors, and directors in the resolution of performance management issues.
  • Collaborate with General Manager and Finance Controller in design and administration of total compensation solutions for employees.
  • Oversee the facilitation of periodic staff leadership training as well as non-harassment and employment policies and procedures in compliance with State and/or Federal legislation.
  • Collaborate with Risk Management Director on safety and workers compensation related issues and programs.
  • Monitor team member attendance, issuing corrective action plans or overseeing supervisors and managers in issuing disciplinary action.
  • Administer company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct various orientation and new hire training for new team members including leadership and supervisor training.
  • Monitor and assist with advancing applicants through the recruiting and onboarding process.
  • Through the Human Resource Information System (HRIS), report weekly on the progress of new hires to ensure they are cleared for scheduling in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Scheduling Coordinator with filling open shifts.
  • Review open shift reports daily, determining if any needs are urgent/critical and communicating status to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Perform additional duties assigned as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years’ Human Resources experience in a generalist or supervisory level
  • PHR preferred but not required
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Office administrative knowledge and experience
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate proficiently, both orally and in writing, in the English language
  • Ability to pass a drug screen, criminal background check, and pre-employment behavioral interview.
