Summary/Objective
The Development Manager is a key contributor to the mission of Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties (HFHPWP) by generating revenue through identification, research, cultivation, pitching, and securing new donors both corporate and individual. Additionally, the position is responsible for managing relationships with an existing pool of donors. This position will maintain programs in accordance with performance targets set by the Chief External Relations Officer and Director of Development.
Essential Functions

1. Participate as a key member of the Development team in planning fundraising strategies and developing procedures for meeting the department’s objectives.
2. Cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of annual donors of individuals, corporations, organizations and foundations to be determined in collaboration with the Director of Development and Chief External Relations officer.
3. Build relationships to retain, renew and upgrade current donors.
4. Identify, cultivate, and secure new corporate sponsors and individual donors for events, specialty builds, team-building days, and programs.
5. Identify and cultivate prospects for corporate employee giving and cause-related marketing programs.
6. Ownership and leadership of assigned specialty builds in partnership with the development Team.
7. Ownership and leadership of corporate team builds and homeowner program sponsorship in partnership with the development team.
8. Collaborates with the Programs department to ensure top-tier customer service for Home Build and Team Build sponsors to deliver an exceptional experience.
9. Ensures sponsors are accurately tracked, receive sponsor benefits, and are communicated with before, during, and after the event/program in collaboration with the marketing team.
10. Act as staff liaison for Development events, specialty builds, and programs.
11. Maintain up–to–date information on current prospects, partner, and sponsor records in the donor management system and provide appropriate reporting to development team.
12. Represent HFHPWP at community events and at Habitat events.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, reach with hands/arms, listen, and communicate. The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds on a necessary basis, occasionally required to stand and walk for long extended periods, climb or balance and stoop or kneel.

This is a full-time salaried, compensated position.
Education, Experience, and Attributes
· 3 to 5 years of experience working with corporations and groups to secure sponsorships in the nonprofit field.
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information.
· Ability to speak and write English fluently.
· Builds constructive and effective relationships.
