Job Description: Groome Transportation is Now Hiring an Administrative Assistant for our UTA Campus Operations!!! Headquartered in Richmond, Virginia and operating across 16 states, Groome Transportation is a very successful specialty ground transportation company providing closed-loop campus shuttle services contracted with academic and institutional clients (the "Contract" division). Groome generates best-in-class profitability, reflecting the value of its services to its customers and its efficient operations. Ideal candidate must have knowledge of DOT regulations and payroll entry (preferably 3 years) and a CDL with P endorsement. Role and Responsibilities
Reconcile missed service with information from GPS and record for invoice
Send lost service to accounting once approved by manager
Schedule pre-employment physicals and drug testing
Complete and file all new hire and DOT paperwork
Send new hire paperwork and other employee change of status forms to payroll
Send DOT paperwork for approval prior to putting employee on schedule
Complete payroll, review for accuracy
Maintain lost service and wasted labor spreadsheets
Maintain, check and correct driver logs
Check DVIRs for maintenance issues and file according to DOT regulations
Enter daily maintenance reports
Fuel reporting
Driver ID badges
Filing as needed
Answer phones as needed
Interview and hire to maintain or exceed required staffing levels
Observe and maintain GPS
Other duties as assigned by manager
Job Requirements: Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
At least one 1-year experience handling multiple phone lines
Software experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook and other Internet applications
Prior experience working with a transportation system and GPS functions
3 years payroll entry experience
DOT regulations knowledge
Ability to sit in one position for prolonged periods of time viewing a computer screen
