Position Summary 

Greenwich House, a leading nonprofit organization in New York City, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Administrator to join our Human Resources team. The HR Administrator will provide essential administrative support and assist in HR operations to ensure the efficient functioning of HR processes and initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities: 

  • HR Documentation and Records: Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and filing systems. Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of HR-related documentation. 
  • Recruitment Support: Assist in job posting creation, resume screening, and scheduling interviews. Coordinate candidate communication and onboarding logistics. 
  • Onboarding and Offboarding: Support the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation materials preparation, paperwork completion, and conducting background checks. Facilitate exit procedures for departing employees. 
  • Benefits Administration Support: Assist in benefits enrollment processes, answer employee inquiries related to benefits, and help distribute benefits-related communication. 
  • HRIS Maintenance: Enter and update employee data in HRIS systems, generate reports, and assist in data analysis as needed. 
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and handling HR-related inquiries. 
  • Compliance and Policies: Assist in ensuring HR compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Support the dissemination of HR policies and procedures to employees. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • 2 years of relevant experience in HR or administrative roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
