Job Title: HR Manager
Main Purpose:
Greensboro Global Academy offers a non-sectarian educational program that is based in Greensboro, North Carolina. We have set our homeport on the American Hebrew Academy campus, which has been owned and operated for 20 years. Its location and local connections, as well as its familiarity with the campus, enables it to offer a customized and thoughtful program for our unique student body.
GGA provides instruction in Science, Social Studies, Math, Reading, Writing, Physical Education, and English as a Second Language, in accordance with the North Carolina Department of Education academic standards. GGA provides these educational services to our students ages 13-17. Instruction will take place for six hours per day, five days per week, except for federal holidays.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Manager to join our team. The HR Manager will play a pivotal role in managing human resources functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering a positive work environment for our faculty and staff.
Core Accountabilities:
· Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
· Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation programs, and training sessions to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
· Handle employee relations issues, including grievances, disputes, and disciplinary actions.
· Promote a positive work environment and resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
· Develop and implement performance evaluation processes to assess and enhance employee performance.
· Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance-related matters.
· Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs for faculty and staff.
· Encourage continuous learning and career growth opportunities within the organization.
· Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and school policies.
· Develop and update HR policies and procedures to reflect best practices and legal requirements.
· Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
· Assist employees with benefits inquiries and facilitate open enrollment processes.
· Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
· Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to support decision-making processes.
· Other job duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
· Minimum of 5 years of HR Management experience, preferably in an educational setting.
· Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
· Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
