  • Collaborate with the finance and accounting department to accurately prepare, process and book a variety of payroll and other HR-related transactions to our financial management and control systems.
  • Monitor and ensure Gelber’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
  • Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from Gelber’s human resource information system (HRIS) and talent management system.
  • Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities across all HR staff.

What you’ll need:

  • A strategic vision for HR coupled with strong supervisory and leadership skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills that allow you to work comfortably and productively across all levels of the organization, as well as with external entities.
  • A clear and effective communication style, both verbally and in writing.
  • Solid time management and organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • An ability to adapt as necessary to inevitable changes in a fast-moving environment.
  • A commitment to mentoring.
  • A can-do attitude with a bias toward finding solutions and getting things done.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, healthy ambition, and an ability to delegate when appropriate.
  • Appropriate self-confidence, a competitive spirit, and an enjoyment of all things related to the financial markets are huge positives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
