The Headlines:

In the role of Senior Director, Human Resources – Sales Business Partner working in Chicago, IL you will be a key member of the HRBP Leadership team as well as US Sales and Canada Commercial functional leadership teams. You will lead a team of HRBPs who partner with Commercial leaders across North America to deliver people strategies and solutions that support our organizational and commercial goals. You will work in true partnership with specialist HR teams to design, implement and operate enterprise-wide HR solutions, aligning them with the larger company strategy and ensuring effective execution within customer groups. You will serve as visible change agent and transformational leader who embodies the culture and leadership agenda at the Company

The Responsibilities:

• Partner with function leader to support the development and implementation of people strategy and plans in a manner that is efficient and drives the business forward
• Execute strategy for HRBP community to enable talent movement and development
• Support the succession and talent calibration process and overall talent moves across North America
• Be a visible change agent and transformational leader for culture and our employee experience, advising and overseeing leaders and employees on actions that lead to improvement
• Partner with business leader and team to have a long-range talent plan
• Provides support to the business LT on succession, talent calibration and talent moves across North America
• Provide input to Talent Management team and People Development team about business needs to support the development of talent and development processes
• Provides input to the Total Rewards team to help ensure compensation, programs (e.g. relocation) and benefits are designed to support business objectives
• Operates efficiently and effectively in a matrix environment
• Demonstrates effective influence & collaboration without formal authority
• Able to translate theory into strategy and strategy into actionable plans

The Other Qualifications:

• You have 8 years of progressive HR leadership experience
• You have prior experience in talent management or HR business partnering
• You hold an undergraduate degree in HR, business or related curriculum, graduate degree preferred
• You are experienced in working within a matrix environment
• You have experience developing and executing HR processes or programs
• You embody a client service mindset, operate as a value added business partner with a solutions orientation
• You are a strategic thought leader and have the credibility to influence business agenda
• Your objectivity, resilience and flexibility to manage strategic & complex issues is unsurpassed
• You have the ability to translate HR practices into simple processes and business solutions
• You can assess situations and provide objective, a non-biased point of view
• You have a track record of building capability in others: through direct leadership or through a continuous improvement approach to the design and delivery of HR plans
