Overview

Responsible for completing moderately complex accounting work in a team environment with limited supervision with some latitude for independent judgment and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Code invoices to appropriate income statement and balance sheet accounts• Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts • Prepare journal entries for corrections as necessary• Prepare standard monthly journal entries• Upload and verify manual journal entries for accuracy• Work with operational and administrative centers to prepare adjustments and accruals for the monthly close process• Run and post reports for operations • Analyze and compile variance explanations for P&L accounts during monthly close• Perform analysis and prepare reports for special requests • Maintain asset inventory control including but not limited to entering, transferring and retiring assets in the asset management system; Running asset management schedules and depreciation to be pulled into general ledger• Maintain concentration and focus in order to meet performance goals• Maintain good working relationship with assigned supervisors and coworkers• Work safely without presenting a threat to self or others• Perform additional duties as required by management

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required

Experience:

• 2-5 years of experience in general accounting functions • PeopleSoft knowledge preferred• Working knowledge of GAAP

Computer Experience:

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
