We are a general contractor specializing in construction services for the multifamily housing industry and are looking for a Phoenix, Arizona based experienced business development professional with account management, sales, project manager, and/or construction experience.
Job Overview
The Account Manager will grow and establish new customer partnerships by following through on all leads and bid requests, while professionally serving their current portfolio of business. Will actively participate in industry networking events hosted by local and state apartment associations, in addition to attending any sponsored customer functions. Will be responsible for managing existing and new projects from preconstruction through closeout, while working closely with multiple internal and external teams to ensure successful completion of work. Travel will be required as needed to service project sites and clients.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Build a portfolio of clients with assigned annual sales goals.
· Achieve a minimum of 10 quality business development connections/opportunity leads a week.
· Develop and foster long-lasting relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendor partners to enhance future business development opportunities.
· Coordinate the completion of quantity take-offs, material, labor, and other fixed cost calculations to present detailed timely estimates to clients.
· Assist in answering customers' questions about products, prices, availability, delivery dates, product uses, warranties, and credit/contract terms.
· Consult with clients after sales/contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
· Ensure strict adherence to ethics, compliance requirements, and safety protocols on all projects.
· Provide regular feedback to staff.
· Participate in and represent FSI in client and association trade shows, functions, golf tournaments, and other promotional events (many of which occur outside of normal business hours).
· Support and drive utilization of various company initiatives and technologies.
· Become a good corporate citizen in the community and maximize company’s resources to benefit business goals and objectives.
· Contribute positively to the FSI culture through best practices and exceptional customer service.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Excellent verbal, written, and facilitation skills; including the ability to influence, negotiate and explain complex processes to clients and staff.
· Must be able to meet multiple, conflicting deadlines.
· Must be self-motivated and able to set and achieve goals independently with minimum supervision.
· Outgoing, tenacious, self-driven, and team-oriented personality.
· Foster positive attitude towards staff, subcontractors, and customers.
· Must have technical knowledge, in addition to scheduling, and organizational skills.
· Software skills - MS Word and Excel proficient; experience with a CRM system or Xactimate is a plus.
· Must be experienced in multifamily or construction sales and/or account management.
