Creates, manages, and organizes electronic data and then processes and analyzes this data using various software and database systems.

• Prepares reports, visualizations, and presentations based on recommendations and findings.
• Verifies accuracy and looks for discrepancies in system data.
• Conducts in-depth statistical analyses data modeling and forecasting, using complex systems.
• Develops and implements procedures to transform data for statistical analyses and modeling.
• Runs and modifies queries and stored procedures as needed to obtain data for analyses.
• Performs data quality analyses to ensure the accuracy of Board of Governs (BOG) files and uses the results of these analyses to identify areas of improvement and recommend changes to policy and procedures.
• Trains new staff on assessment, quality improvement, data analyses.
• Serves as liaison and data analysis specialist for assigned departments.
• Creates and maintains the data dictionary for the data warehouse.
• Designs and generates reports for the university's business intelligence dashboard.
• Lead in creation and updating of reports for monitoring progress toward the 2025 Strategic Plan Metrics by program, department, college and university-wide.
• Recommends policies and procedures to assist the appropriate office to improve the retention rate and ensure that the necessary services are provided to students.
• Assists the Academic Units with improving the graduation progression and improving the time to graduation.
• Assists with the planning, organizing and directing of institutional research programs and supporting all internal and external data collections.

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four (4) years of appropriate experience or a Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two (2) years of appropriate experience.

• Appropriate areas of specialization will include mathematics, statistics, computer science, education, management, decision sciences, operations research, or public administration preferred.
• Ability to understand, run and modify SQL queries and stored procedures, use of SPSS, SAS, MS Excel and/or Access for analysis and report creation.
