Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association is Hiring a Human Resources Coordinator Near Maitland, FL

PART TIME ROLE

SCOPE:

Perform tasks under the general direction of the HR Director to coordinate the organization’s Human Resources programs including employment policies and practices, compliance, recruitment, HRIS and benefits assistance, and other human resource support functions as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. HRIS - Maintain hard copy and HRIS system personnel files, perform HRIS data entry and correction, and approve employee data changes with appropriate documentation if applicable. Upload compliance documents to HRIS system. Assist in HRIS benefits system updates and life event/open enrollment session creation. Process new hires and terminations in the system.
  2. Recruiting – create/post jobs in Newton, LinkedIn, Indeed, review resumes, schedule interviews, send out Predictive Index links to candidates and results to managers, create offer letters, and run backgrounds.
  3. Benefits - Assist in benefit program open enrollment tasks and employee follow up, create annual required benefit notices, email/mail out Medicare Part D Notices to employees, assemble benefits new hire packets, and complete FMLA paperwork.
  4. Compliance – Update and audit employee files, purge files per document retention schedules, ensure labor law posters are up to date, I-9 filing, corrections and maintenance, and EEO-1 reporting. Report worker’s compensation, unemployment compensation and other statutorily required employment functions. Maintain complete employee confidentiality.
  5. Employee Relations – Track and file employee performance evaluations, develop and email the employee newsletter, plan and coordinate company luncheons, create annual payroll calendar and holiday schedule, coordinate the HR events calendar and ensure timely planning and execution of events. Process verifications of employment. Respond to employee inquiries about procedures, policies and benefits. Participate and coordinate the Caring is Mutual effort.
  6. Miscellaneous - Create a standard operating procedures handbook for HR, update organization charts, update/create HR forms as needed, filing, faxing, scanning and copies as needed.

OTHER DUTIES:

  1. Attend and participate in some HR knowledge meetings as directed to obtain additional knowledge and information about the Human Resource function.
  2. Perform or assist with any assignments as required or directed.
