Job Details
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the financial operations of the organization, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, transactions, and financial statements in compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and making strategic recommendations to senior management.
Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes, such as investment opportunities, cost reduction strategies, and pricing decisions.
Provide guidance and support to other departments regarding financial matters, including budgeting, cost control, and financial projections.
Manage the cash flow and treasury functions, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs and optimizing cash management.
Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with audit and tax requirements.
Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations, financial reporting standards, and industry best practices, and ensure their implementation.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or CPA qualification is preferred.
M.S in Accounting and/or CPA preferred
Experience:
Proven work experience as a Controller or similar role, preferably in a medium to large-sized organization.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards (e.g., GAAP).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
Proficiency in financial management software and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and accounting software (e.g., Excel, SAP, Oracle).
Skills:
Excellent leadership and managerial skills with the ability to mentor and develop a finance team.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
Knowledge of industry-specific financial practices and regulations (if applicable) is a plus.
