Etana Custody is looking for a Staff Accountant!Etana Custody Inc. is a chartered trust company regulated by the State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agency- Division of Banking.As an independent, qualified custodian, we offer global custodial and trade support solutions for institutions, investment professionals, exchanges, and individuals. Our industry-leading suite of custody and trade support solutions for fiat and digital assets provides flexibility and peace of mind to our clients, knowing their assets will always stay protected and secure.Job Description: The Staff Accountant is primarily responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. This onsite position reports to the Controller in Denver, CO.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
  • Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
  • Prepare financial management reports
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
  • Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Book required journal entries in accordance with properly executed schedules
  • Produce monthly closing schedules for benefits, payroll, debt and prepaids
  • Coordinate the inter-company process with subsidiary Companies
  • Resolves accounting discrepancies and irregularities
  • Monitors and supports taxation issues
  • Financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process
  • Ensures accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
  • Reconciles and analyzes on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues
  • Analyzes financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education / Experience:Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university in Accounting; 2 – 3 years of related experience; CPA desired.Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting Software (QuickBooks); Payroll Systems (ADP); Spreadsheet Software (Excel) intermediate level; Word Processing Software (Word); Presentation Software (PowerPoint); Proprietary Software.Other Skills, Abilities and Qualifications:
  • Excellent judgment and discretion; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle work-related stress is required.
  • Remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
  • Detail oriented while maintaining an extremely positive attitude.
  • Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision.

  • Team player with a "can do" attitude that can work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work outside of regular business hours which will include nights and weekends to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of accepted accounting/auditing practices and economic principles, applicable laws, codes and regulations.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Ability to travel domestically.
