Empire Cake, a gourmet American-style bakery in Chelsea, is seeking a full-time Assistant Cake Consultants to join our growing business.

Availability to work 5 days per week, including at least one weekend day, is required for the full-time position. The hours are 10 am / 11 am to 6 pm / 7pm depending on the day.

The Assistant Cake Consultant position is a creative customer service position and will assist the Cake Consultants fufill custom cake orders.

The position will include administrative duties such as handling phone and emails, as well as ordering supplies, coordinating deliveries, boxing cakes, overseeing daily production of custom orders and customer service.

The ideal candidate would be detail oriented and well organized, able to manage time effectively, a multi-tasker, responsible with excellent communication skills, and be dedicated to customer service.

They are also required to be able to move large cakes. Weekend availability is a requirement. A background in art, pastry, or cake decoration are all benefits.
