Distributed Solar Development, LLC (DSD) seeks an analytical Manager, Operations Analytics to join our growing team. DSD is the leading Commercial & Industrial solar and storage asset owner in the U.S. Our clients include F500 companies, schools & universities, municipalities & utilities, and regional developers.

Distributed Solar Development, LLC (DSD) is seeking an analytical and innovative leader to join our Commercial Operations team. As DSD grows exponentially, optimizing scalability has become crucial and we firmly endorse the transformative role of data and analytics to address operational challenges. Therefore, we seek a leader with an analytical mindset and exceptional data processing skills, poised to push for innovation and positive disruption within our organization. This pivotal role is integral to steer DSD towards a future defined by operational efficiency and sustainable growth. This role will collaborate closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and his staff members to architect and optimize operational standards, leverage data-driven insights to overcome challenges, and spearhead scalable solutions.

Originally formed as a support entity for the sales team, our Commercial Operations team has evolved into a strategic hub for data-driven decision-making and operational excellence at DSD. Aligned with our mission, the team focuses on creating customer value, fostering transparency, and expediting renewable energy deployment through operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Formulate standardized metrics to rigorously evaluate and enhance the efficiency and performance of each commercial team, setting strategic goals for team leaders to drive scalability and profitability.
• Identify, prioritize, and address pain points and bottlenecks within the commercial business, developing and implementing comprehensive solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure consistent implementation of solutions and meticulously monitor progress and impacts through advanced data visualization tools.
• Facilitate data-driven decision-making by empowering commercial leaders to transparently monitor team performance, identify root causes of inefficiencies, and devise actionable strategies.
• Establish streamlined and standardized processes and frameworks to address operational challenges consistently and effectively.
• Design and implement structured frameworks to help the commercial team transition through growth changes seamlessly, ensuring minimal disruption to workflow and optimal operational continuity.
• Facilitate process improvement projects by leading and managing cross-functional project teams and/or providing the data support needed
• Formulate data and statistical models for analysis and/or forecasting

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with strong academic records.
• Professional experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI.
• Professional or academic experience with operations management, lean manufacturing, and CRM management tools (e.g. Salesforce).
• Experienced in data processing (ETL), reporting, and dashboarding.

Desired Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or Business Administration.
• Experienced in lean manufacturing, six sigma, project management, and/or change management.
• Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt and/or PMP Certified.
• Had exposure to the renewable energy industry.

San Francisco Bay area preferred. Remote options considered.
