Direct Wire is Hiring a Business Development Manager Near Detroit, MI

Direct Wire & Cable is actively seeking a Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team! Reporting directly to the Vice President of Business Development, this exciting opportunity plays a crucial role as a subject matter expert in the wire and cable industry. As the Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in driving growth and exploring new business opportunities at Direct Wire.

**Must have Industrial and/or cable & wire experience**

At Direct Wire & Cable, we manufacture different cable products for various industries and applications. This is a remote position that will require frequent travel around the Mid-West and East Coast up to 50% of the time for business purposes. Travel to Denver, PA or Lancaster, PA will be infrequent, but may be necessary for essential meetings and strategy sessions.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve quarterly sales goals set by the Vice President of Business Development.
  • Execute strategic marketing research projects and initiatives to explore new business opportunities and targets, ensuring Direct Wire & Cable meets its growth and business goals.
  • Build, test, and own the business and sales strategy for multiple industrial segments where Direct Wire & Cable competes.
  • Oversee and set the cadence for winning new business via the establishment of sales objectives, develop annual sales quotas, project expected new sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Mentor the sales team by communicating & developing the “hunter” mentality behaviors which will exceed company goals and objectives.
  • Champion SalesForce.com for establishing and driving sales pipeline management and execution.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations and updates for the Exectuive Leadership Team
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time to meet with current and prospective customers to present our products and services

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in B2B sales and/or customer relations.
  • 5-7 years’ experience managing customer accounts and delivering customer focused solutions
  • 5-7 years experience selling wire & cable, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Prior experience leveraging and maintaining a CRM platform to manage sales pipeline.
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate (both written & verbal) with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and a self-starter.
