SUMMARY:
The Accounts Payable Specialist oversees the daily payment of invoices and adheres to the function while focusing on continuous improvement to continue and drive enhancements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Set invoices up for payment
• Enter invoices into system
• Track expenses and process expense reports
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
• Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
• Maintain contractor vendor files electronically
• Prepare and file 1099’s electronically
• Maintain accurate records for subcontractors
• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
• Assist with month end closing
• Provide supporting documentation for audits
• Safeguard confidential medical records and complies with all local, state, and federal laws pertaining to medical records. Assures compliance with all HIPAA
regulations concerning use, retrieval, storage, and sharing of medical records.
• Any other duties of a similar or lesser nature as required.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office products required
• Demonstrated leadership in teamwork, special projects, and complex assignments
• Must be a positive team player and be able to communicate with team members
• Ability to analyze complex issues and articulate solutions

• Deadline-oriented and ability to multi-task
• Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently on special projects and complex assignments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of personnel in a large organization.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
• Associates degree preferred
• Four to seven years of prior accounts payable experience
• Experience with cloud-based software such as NetSuite, Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, or QuickBooks
• Flexibility to work in rapidly growing environment
• Attention to detail, good organization, communication, and problem solving skills
• Experience working in a multi-function, multi-geography environment preferred
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers whose first language is English.
