Responsibilities for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Efficiently process accounts payable invoices with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure proper documentation.
- Resolve discrepancies and communicate effectively with vendors to ensure timely payments.
- Prepare and process payments through various methods, including checks and electronic transfers.
- Maintain organized vendor files and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Assist with month-end closing processes as needed, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth operations and support company goals.
Preferred Requirements for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
