Position: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: NW San Antonio, TX

Pay Rate: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour

Schedule: Part-time, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There is potential for the position to become full-time in the future.

Overview: A leading Marketing/Advertising firm is in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist. This role is vital for managing and executing the accounts payable functions with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will handle the full cycle of accounts payable processes, ensuring the timely and accurate payment of invoices and maintaining the company's financial integrity.

Job Duties:

• Process, verify, and reconcile invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
• Review and verify invoices for proper authorization and ensure timely payment according to company policies and negotiated terms.
• Maintain vendor files and records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Process payments through various methods (credit card, electronic transfers, and checks) while managing cash flow to meet obligations.
• Collaborate with procurement and receiving departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and disputes.
• Assist in month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain good vendor relations.
• Keep track of credits owed to the company and ensure they are applied to vendor payments.
• Adhere to internal controls and accounting policies.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support the finance department.

Minimum Experience Requirements:

• Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with internal teams and vendors.
