Director Of Human Resources -
Southlake, Texas
The position is a key member of the leadership team and serves as a trusted advisor to the executive staff, all levels of management, and the workforce. This position will create and drive HR strategies and processes that align with business plans and strategic objectives.
RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates relating to employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits and retirement plans, workers compensation, employee relations.
  • Manage the hiring process, including orientation and onboarding support for top talent.
  • Work with benefits broker and senior leadership to secure the best plans and rates possible while ensuring compliance.
  • Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Monitor compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys, working closely with CFO and CEO to keep compensation strategy up to date.
  • Ensure the organization's compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and put processes in place to ensure future compliance standards are met.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and recent technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Plan and establish consistent communication of policies, training, and procedures throughout the company.
  • Implement best practices for hiring and new hire orientation.
  • Respond to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as needed.
  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution.
  • Partner with leaders on the fair, appropriate, and consistent resolution of employee concerns.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all leadership decisions as well as implement them when necessary.
Minimal Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field, or comparable experience.
  • Minimum three years of experience in a HR managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Previous experience working with multi-sites and states is a plus.
  • Previous experience with HRIS systems.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification highly preferred.
