Programs Director (PD) (Full-time, 40 hours) Exempt
The Programs Director
(PD) is responsible for the operational success of College Mentoring Experience
(CME) ensuring seamless team management and development, program delivery, and quality control and evaluation. The
(PD) will manage a growing staff, overseeing all aspects of
(CME) initiative, including hiring staff, managing the budget, and advertising the program to potential participants. The
(PD) will set the scope of the program, setting deadlines, and delegating tasks to team members. The
(PD) will be the key external face of
(CME) in the community. The
(PD) will report directly to the Executive Director
(ED).
General Accountabilities
- Cultivating existing relationships with vendors with the goal of ensuring sufficient space and resources, and access to services
- Developing and implementing strategies that will maximize the synergies among program areas
- Developing and implementing a system to evaluate the skill, experience, and professional development needs of all staff
- Implementing a professional development program to address employee experience and skill gaps
- Working with staff to develop objective performance measurements across all sites, to ensure consistent, high-quality evaluation and goal setting for all employees
- Instilling a sense of accountability among team members by modeling tight oversight of individual and organization performance standards
- Recruiting, hiring, and overseeing training and orientation of all staff members
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of a BA, MA preferred
- At least 10 years of experience with three of those in a team management role
- Demonstrated success developing and evaluating program models, and selecting and successfully operationalizing innovative programs
- Proficient in using technology as a management reporting tool and experience working with information technology to develop and implement program evaluation systems
- Strong project management skills managing complex, multifaceted projects resulting in measurable successes and program growth
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of best practices in mentoring and student support services
- Must be able to successfully pass background checks
- Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation
- Must provide proof of COVID vaccination
