Under the supervision of the Director of Radio, and in coordination with the Content Director, Station Managers, and channel leaders, the National Program Director will be responsible for the ongoing daily content, growth, and outreach of Moody Radio’s content. This includes setting content strategy for Moody Radio’s national, local, and international content offerings.

- Radio Content Strategy and Development: Ensure a competitive and relevant Moody Radio sound. Develop and execute a national and international program strategy aligned with mission, theology, and reaching diverse audiences. Collaborate with local stations for cohesive programming, balancing national content with regional relevance. Develop, curate, and execute a program portfolio strategy ensuring consistency with mission and brand.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead, manage, and hold accountable a team of teams producing radio (and related) content emphasizing innovation and excellence. Collaborate with HR for talent recruitment, training, and onboarding. Ensure team adherence to listenability best practices and support Moody Radio's goals. Develop and implement a strategic talent acquisition strategy, identifying and recruiting individuals who not only align with Moody Radio's mission but also bring a unique and complementary dimension to the Moody sound.
- Audience Engagement and Feedback: Monitor and analyze audience feedback, ratings, and survey data for informed and data-driven improvements. Regularly assess programming impact and adjust strategies based on Moody’s mission, audience understanding, and theological values.
- Outreach Expansion and Ministry Partnerships: Cultivate strong relationships with partners and potential partners. Collaborate with station managers for program placement, rate negotiations, opportunities and issues. Identify growth opportunities and markets while maintaining theological consistency.
- Budget and Resource Management: Manage the programming department budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial goal adherence. Oversee cost-effective production processes and content acquisition for maximum return on investment.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications, digital media, broadcasting, video, or a related field.
- Strong demonstrated knowledge of the Bible, theology, doctrine, and the leading issues facing Christians today. A practitioner knowing what’s facing the church and Christianity and how to develop and direct a content team to create biblical, practical, content.
- Proven experience in radio programming and content development, with at least 10 years of experience.
- In-depth knowledge of broadcast industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong creative and analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with affiliates and partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to tailor content to different channels and audiences — no matter the channel (audio, video, written).
- Leadership skills: Strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage and motivate a team, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams and individual contributors.
- Strategic thinking: Ability to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy that aligns with the ministry's mission, goals, and values, and meets the needs of the target audience.
- Authorized to work in the US legally, without sponsorship.

We are seeking a proven National Program Director to lead Moody Radio’s on-air sound, radio content strategy, program development, and excellence of the sound across all of Moody Radio’s audio stations (terrestrial and streaming) and channels. As the National Program Director, you will be responsible for creating and implementing an effective broadcast content strategy that aligns with our goals and objectives while also ensuring that the content is biblical, practical, relevant, engaging, and on-brand.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
This is a Full-time position: Monday through Friday. Some travel is expected for this position. While we prefer this role to be a local hybrid role requiring someone to be in the office at least 1-2 days per week, a fully remote option is available depending on the candidate.
