Role Summary:

As an Account Development Representative at Cognite, you'll apply your tenacity, creativity, and communication skills to build pipeline through outbound prospecting and follow up on marketing-sourced leads, contributing directly to our growth trajectory.

Situated within our marketing team, part of our Account-Based Marketing (ABM) efforts, you'll join forces with sales and the wider marketing team to engage in proactive outreach efforts aimed at delivering value and addressing customer pain points.

We are aiming to hire individuals for our ADR team so we can drive growth in our pipeline, expand our market reach, and optimize sales process efficiency.

The ideal candidate brings 1-2 years of Account Development Representative (ADR) experience, a proven track record of exceeding targets, and proficiency in CRM and sales automation tools. Fluency in English is essential, with additional languages considered advantageous. Our Account Development Representative will:

  • Utilize a diverse range of channels to engage target accounts, orchestrate demonstrations, and contribute to credible opportunity creation within the Sales pipeline.
  • Follow up on inbound marketing leads and identify qualified opportunities.
  • Foster collaboration with colleagues at Cognite, demonstrating effective teamwork across departments.
  • Engage in dynamic and insightful conversations via phone, email, and social platforms.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable authority on Cognite’s product portfolio.
  • Proactively collaborate with Product and Content Marketing to craft personalized, pertinent messages for key stakeholders in target accounts and devise outreach strategies.
  • Strive for ongoing enhancement and refinement of both outbound and inbound approaches.
  • Efficiently partner with the broader marketing team to bolster lead generation endeavors, including participation in industry events, initiating pre-event communication, and following up post-campaign to bolster engagement with target accounts.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, market fluctuations, and competitor activities to spot fresh business prospects and highlight our distinctive offerings in the marketplace.
What will your day look like:
  • Review inbound inquiries from different channels daily
  • Assess each inquiry, fill in missing information
  • Pass qualified leads to respective verticals, teams, and colleagues
  • Help research technologies and tools for intelligent, automated lead management
  • Manage the automation of lead qualification flow
  • Monitor inbound lead volume with analytics tools, and perform periodic reports on findings and trends
Requirements:
  • At least 1-2 years of experience with sales development within the technology space
  • BA/BS degree 
  • Experience with prospecting through the use of sales tools: Outreach, Salesforce, LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, HubSpot, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Experience in Energy or Manufacturing industry is an advantage 
  • Fluent in Spanish or Portuguese a plus
  • Motivation to design and optimize the best practices for this role to be used internationally within Cognite.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic phone presence
  • Passion for sales - motivated by targets and possess a proactive attitude towards prospecting and lead generation
  • Resilience and persistence, especially in the face of rejection or obstacles. 
  • The capability of understanding customer pain points, requirements, and correlating potential business value that can be provided by Cognite
  • Aptitude to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently while achieving production goals from an assigned territory or set of accounts
