Classroom Champions is Hiring a Remote Sales Account Manager (East Coast)

Sales Account Manager (Eastern Time Zone)

The Sales Account Manager is a critical leader of our team, responsible for increasing our impact by expanding the number of schools using our programs through a full-cycle sales process. 

Summary:

Classroom Champions provides powerful Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) programming to K-8 students through the mindset and journey of world-class athlete mentors. Classroom Champions is a rapidly growing nonprofit organization seeking passionate and mission-driven people to join our team of educators, athletes and nonprofit leaders. 

The Account Manager will be responsible for bringing our program to schools across the U.S. This fully remote role will work with Classroom Champions’ Head of Sales to develop and execute territory strategies to secure new business and renew or expand existing accounts. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Establish a sales funnel and win new and renewal business through outbound prospecting, referrals, industry partnerships, and marketing qualified leads
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in school districts
  • Work directly with the Head of Sales to establish a territory plan by researching, prospecting, conducting outreach, and delivering presentations to win new business deals 
  • Develop and maintain an exceptional knowledge of Classroom Champions’ products and services as well as industry trends, legislative developments and competitive alternatives within the assigned territories 
  • Use the existing CRM system (Hubspot) to provide ongoing metrics and forecasting to track progress and accountability and optimize sales efforts
  • Travel required up to 25% at certain times of the year

Qualifications: 

  • Approximately 5 years of experience or more in a sales role, with at least 3 years selling instructional products to K-12 school districts (new business and renewal)
  • Proven success navigating complex school district purchasing processes and the ability to identify and build trust with decision-makers at the district and school level
  • Experience working with small to mid-sized school districts
  • Ability to clearly and passionately communicate Classroom Champions impact via written communication as well as in conversations and presentations 
  • Firm understanding of the Social Emotional Learning programs
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about sports at the collegiate, professional or Olympic level; experience as a competitive athlete is a plus

Location: This role welcomes candidates from anywhere in the United States. While we encourage applicants from all regions to apply, we have a strong preference for those situated in the Eastern or Pacific time zones.
