Senior Accountant
Description/Job Summary
- The Ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to month end close and financial statement preparation
- Reporting directly to the CFO, the ideal candidate will be organized, analytical and will be the leader of the accounting team
- Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Lead the month-end close
- Prepare all financial statements & reports for Senior Management team
- Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and reports for senior management team
- Other special projects as assigned
- Manage the company’s accounting operations, including establishing and enforcing financial policies, procedures, and controls
Required Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor’s or advanced Degree in Accounting
- 5 Years of Professional Accounting Experience
- CPA preferred
- Working knowledge of Vista software is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong Working Knowledge of GAAP and ability to perform technical accounting research
- Comprehensive knowledge of month-end and year-end close activities
