The Center for Humanistic Change (CHC) located in Allentown PA is a 501-c-3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to give people, especially youth, the knowledge and tools they need to make better-informed and more positive life choices through the interactive delivery of prevention education and evidence-based programming.
Drug and alcohol prevention programs, life skills training and student mentoring are core services. Our vital programs and services are provided in the schools, in the community, and in the workplace.

The Center for Humanistic Change (CHC) is currently searching for a friendly, professional and efficient staff member to take charge of the daily office operations.
The Administrative Assistant is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position working in the office from 8 : 30 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.
m., Monday-Friday. CHC offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental and vision coverage, and generous paid time off.
This position provides administrative support to the Executive Director and the Director of Administration, and for work conducted on behalf of the administration and prevention departments.
The Administrative Assistant follows administrative processes to maintain our office systems and completes multi-level tasks in a professional and timely manner.
This position requires an experienced individual who can be flexible and adjust to changing priorities with ease, is especially detail-oriented and has strong organization skills.
Candidates will strike a balance between having a team orientation and working well independently with minimal supervision.
This position has no direct reports but may occasionally coordinate and oversee office volunteers. Experience or training using social media and website content management is desirable.
Event planning experience is a plus. Experience in a human services field or other nonprofit sector is a plus. Such training and experience may have been gained from a four-year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and education.

CHC staff are expected to obtain and maintain all state and local training requirements and clearances, including PA Child Abuse history clearance, PA State Police background clearance, FBI background fingerprinting check and mandated child abuse reporter training.
Clearances and criminal record checks must be in compliance and in accordance with the laws reflecting the ability to work in schools and with children.
Access to mobile and home internet connection is preferred in the event remote work is necessary. Please include resume when responding.
