Center for Humanistic Change, Inc. is Hiring a Billing & Data Coordinator - part-time Near Allentown, PA

The Center for Humanistic Change (CHC) located in Allentown PA is a 501-c-3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to give people, especially youth, the knowledge and tools they need to make better-informed and more positive life choices through the interactive delivery of prevention education and evidence-based programming. Drug and alcohol prevention programs, life skills training and student mentoring are core services. Our vital programs and services are provided in the schools, in the community, and in the workplace.

The Center for Humanistic Change is currently searching for a friendly, professional and efficient staff member to fill the role of part-time Billing & Data Coordinator. This is an hourly, non-exempt position working 25-30 hours per week between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. This role may be eligible for a flexible work schedule that allows for a hybrid or remote presence following the initial three months of employment.

The Billing & Data Coordinator is a support role responsible for gathering and entering program data information, processing monthly invoices using MS Access, and maintaining complex data in MS Excel spreadsheets. This position requires someone who takes initiative, has effective critical thinking skills and can manage important deadlines with ease. Candidates will strike a balance between having a team orientation and working well independently with minimal supervision. This position has no direct reports. Experience in a human services field or other nonprofit sector is a plus. Experience with MS Access programming is a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage and perform entry of time sensitive program information in Access database, Excel spreadsheets and State proprietary system.
  • Collaborate with staff to generate and receive program forms and data
  • Track and monitor program hours and allocated funding dollars
  • Prepare monthly invoicing schedule
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly documentation and invoices
  • Process reports using database
  • Maintain database functionality; troubleshoot and/or work with Access consultant to resolve issues

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Above-average proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and Access)
  • Minimum of 2 years office experience
  • Experience using MS Teams and Google Docs
  • Good math aptitude and proficient working with numbers
  • Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence
  • Experience performing data entry
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in workload
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Proactive attitude and good judgement
  • Basic operation and etiquette of instant messaging and video conferencing
  • Demonstrate friendly and professional interpersonal skills

Training and experience may have been gained from a four-year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and education. Completion of job board (Indeed) assessments are a great way to highlight your aptitude in certain areas.

An option to participate in the agency's IRA plan is available. Health benefits are not included for this part-time position.

CHC staff are expected to obtain and maintain all state and local training requirements and clearances, including PA Child Abuse history clearance, PA State Police background clearance, FBI background fingerprinting check, mandated child abuse reporter training and a TB test.
