FRONT OFFICE RECEPTIONIST & ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Come join our patient centered health care team. We are in search of a dynamic, outgoing, experienced front desk receptionist/admin asst to add to our team.This position will be full-time. Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance is a plus. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service and be high energy, organized, and professional. We are dedicated to high quality patient care and are open to new ideas. Problem solvers are appreciated! A calm, compassionate demeanor is a must while being patient and discreet when dealing with patients. We’re a small office so teamwork and multitasking will be a priority.Must be willing to jump in and assist where needed and open to learning new skills. The followings are a must 1) enjoy talking on the phone while scheduling appointments and fielding patient questions—2) Tech Savvy - be able to manage and multi-task two phone lines and one text line while checking patients in and out, and— 3) able to schedule appointments for incoming referrals 4) We work with a vulnerable population so proof of Covid-19 vaccination upon hire required. We work in an evidence based medical environment. 5) Must be punctual and arrive at 7:55 AM. You will be opening the office at 8 AM each morning. 6) Ability to thrive in an occasionally high stress environment. You will sometimes be juggling lots of balls at once!

Clinic hours are 8-5 M-F, currently closing at noon on Fridays but that will change sometime late summer.
Compensation
$16.00 is starting wage.

Duties & Responsibilities
Check patients in and out.
Appropriately document patient demographics and insurance information in EMR system
Answer, screen, and delegate incoming phone calls
Schedule patient appointments
Effectively and diplomatically communicate with patients regarding their concerns
Communicate effectively with insurance companies when needed
Scanning and uploading documents into charts
Process incoming and outgoing referrals, orders, and prior authorizations
Collect patient payments and provide estimates
Stocking supplies as needed
Other office and administrative duties as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications
Friendly & professional demeanor-if you don't enjoy people, this is not the position for you.
Strong computer skills-tech savvy. You'll be using Weave phones, texts, e-fax, insurance portals, Ipads, laptops, scanners, and our EHR.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Your primary responsibility is communicating so, yeah, this is important! College degree or some college preferred.
Polished, warm, service oriented and professional attitude. We like to have fun. We're not stuffy and we're a bit untraditional but still professional and customer service oriented.
Punctual, reliable, and consistent while taking pride and ownership in work. We're a small office so it's important we can all rely on each other. If you don't like working on a team, you get offended easily, or you're not flexible, this may not be a good fit. Also, we're not into drama.
Proven ability to handle oneself in a professional manner at all times in a high visibility area. You are the face of the clinic when patients come and go. We treat our patients with dignity, respect, compassion, and patience.
Demonstrated ability to think critically and problem-solve.
One year medical reception experience preferred but not required
high school diploma required, college preferred
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Two years post high school education or four year degree
Experience with electronic medical records, Nextgen, Health Fusion desired
Familiarity with medical terminology and workflow
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite- Word, Excel, Quickbooks, Social Media
Knowledge of Weave Communication Platform-texting, payments, phones common in dental offices
