Carolina Beverage Group is a world-class specialty beverage co-packer for leading beverage brands. Headquartered in Mooresville, NC with additional locations in Cold Spring, MN and Fort Worth, TX. Our ownership investments continue to bring new equipment & expansive operations to all locations providing ample opportunities across all locations in a variety of roles and departments including Production, Blending, Ingredients, Quality, Maintenance and Warehousing.

Position Summary:
The Corporate Training manager will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of all training programs for all Carolina Beverage Group locations. The training leader will be responsible for either directly or through the Training Coordinators, developing training materials, conducting hands-on training sessions, assessing training needs, and continuously improving training processes to enhance the skills and capabilities of our employees.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Training Program Management

  • Collaborate with Safety, Quality, and HR leadership to keep new hire training content up to date.
  • Champion the Leadership Development Programs by managing the training team and supporting the participants.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) and point of contact for any Alchemy training.
  • Partner with plant operations to develop and implement training initiatives.
  • Manages the development and maintenance of training materials, modules, and resources.


Training Delivery

  • Oversee all training efforts, including new hires, cross-training, and leadership.
  • Observe and provide feedback to trainers, both positive and constructive.
  • Ensure training is an engaging and hands-on experience that uses in-person, technology, and on-the-job components.
  • Conduct training when a trainer is not available.


Training Evaluation and Improvement

  • Ensure that knowledge checks are completed and passed. When not completed, arranges retesting.
  • Analyzes and evaluates the training programs by collecting feedback from new hires after 30 days of training. Using the feedback to make positive changes
  • Review data to identify knowledge & skill gaps.
  • Create skill assessments to ensure new hires have the skills as well as the knowledge.
  • Foster a continuous improvement mindset with the team and the site, ensuring the training is the most effective it can be.


Compliance and Documentation

  • Validate that all training activities align with industry regulations, company policies, and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and current training records, showing employee progress and certifications.
  • Ensure training programs meet and exceed compliance standards..


Team Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally with Operations, Safety, and QA to identify training needs and efficiently resolve the issues.
  • Partner with plant leadership in all departments to monitor and evaluate the quality of training programs.
  • Other duties may be assigned


Position Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and proficiency in instructional design, training development, and adult learning principles.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years previous training and/or operations experience in food or beverage manufacturing.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, a plus.
  • Experience with Alchemy

  • Strong understanding of Safety protocols, Operations, Quality, and Leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and train diverse groups of employees.
  • Excellent employee management and leadership skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong leadership & team collaboration abilities.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment varies from moderate to loud is frequently exposed to work in wet, humid, or outdoor conditions. The employee is also exposed to varying temperatures extremes including heat and cold as the weather varies. The employee is occasionally exposed to work on elevated platforms, with fumes or airborne particles, or with toxic or caustic chemicals. This employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Forklift experience preferred; on-the-job certification required
Physical Demands:
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Color vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is regularly required to walk, climb or balance, reach with hands or arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

About Carolina Beverage

The Carolina Beverage Corporation was started in Salisbury, NC by a general store owner named LD Peeler. Peeler first began distributing a soft drink called Mint Cola. In 1917 during a World War I sugar shortage, LD Peeler began experimenting with other flavors and developed the soft drink Cheerwine. Today Cheerwine is the primary beverage sold by the company.
