Human Resources Director
Position Summary
Serves as internal consultant and business partner to leadership teams. Directly responsible for facilitating ongoing development and maintenance of effective HR programs in the region including legal compliance, talent acquisition, career and organizational development. This role is responsible to ensure the organization is prepared for growth by creating an internal pipeline of strong emerging talent at all levels.
Major Roles & Responsibilities:
· Responsible for establishing, implementing, directing, planning, improving, and coordinating Human Resources processes, programs and functions required to support the business by collaborating with business leaders to understand their current and future needs.
· Oversees and leads HR Business Partner and Talent Acquisition teams at multiple sites and remotely.
· Provides regional-wide HR leadership and direction for assigned programs, projects, initiatives.
· Serves as strategic advisor to management teams and strategic and tactical advisor to the HR team.
· Ensures Human Resources needs and issues are well managed, and programs properly implemented in the region.
· Deploys and leverages Corporate HR strategies, policies & processes in region; adapts solutions to local laws and conventions, trains managers or regional HR team, as appropriate, in use of methods & tools.
· Recommends and implements shared service HR strategy for the region.
· Conducts due diligence and integrates acquisitions to ensure a seamless assimilation process.
· Directly, or through HR team, facilitates the resolution of employee relations issues, maintaining documentation on employee issues.
· Directs the employment functions to ensure a talented pool of qualified and diverse candidates is identified for position openings, ensuring internal mobility and external recruitment, including managing immigration and visa sponsorship as required.
· Develops engagement programs aimed at monitoring attrition KPIs and ensuring retention of employees.
· Develops proactive employee relations programs that help managers create enhanced work environments and positive employee involvement to meet business needs.
· Ensures the organization has clear, standardized, current job descriptions.
· Assists managers in establishing career development programs for employees and developing clear operational goals and objectives, as well as providing appropriate procedures and actions for employees that do not meet performance objectives.
· Determines strategy and manages internal and external training programs.
· Manages and implements performance management process.
· Keeps current with new developments / trends in the Human Resources field along with regulations, accreditations, and certifications pertaining to assigned locations.
· Ensures processes are in place so that compliance with various laws, regulations and policies are achieved; liaise with internal/external attorneys where appropriate.
· Participates in operational planning, including the development of manpower requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
· Demonstrated leadership and ability to work with all levels and functions of the matrixes, global organization, and outside regulatory agencies.
· Demonstrated high levels of initiative, ability to think creatively, initiation and implementation of ideas in alignment with current business environment.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Demonstrated high level of knowledge in talent acquisition and talent management.
· Excellent organizational skills, business acumen and political savvy. Demonstrated ability to deal with constantly changing priorities.
· Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to deliver presentations/training to various BV Americas locations.
· Ability to work in a team environment; must be able to lead the HR function credibly and continue to develop the talent in the HR Team.
· Highly knowledgeable in all facets of HR.
· Knowledge of laws, regulations and policies related to all HR functions (Federal, multi-state and Canada).
· Strong computer skills – MS Office Suite, HRIS skills, ADP, SuccessFactors experience highly desirable.
· Travel required (approximately 10%-15%).
Experience and Educational Background Required for the Job:
· 4 year degree in Human Resources or related field
· MBA or Master’s Degree in HR Management preferred
· SPHR or similar certification preferred
· 8 years progressive experience in Human Resources with 4 years management responsibility in a global organization
· Experience in multi-state & international environment required
· M&A experience required
· Remote position: Candidates residing in Cincinnati, Ohio or Buffalo, NY preferred.
Compensation Range: $130,000-$150,000 for candidates residing in New York (e.g., the job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, and actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as locations, education, experience, and skillset). #BVCPS
