To that end, we’re expanding the team and talent that will help Canopy reach its full potential. Our future is incredibly exciting, and we are looking to build a world-class team of individuals who share a deep desire to go do something big, who possess an entrepreneurial level of endurance, who have a positive attitude, and who aspire to fulfill a greater purpose in both their personal and professional lives.JOB SUMMARYJoin Canopy as a founding member of the marketing team as our Growth Marketing Manager. This is an exciting role for self-starters with the potential to drive significant impact for the entire organization in terms of demand generation and revenue growth.RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Setting the marketing growth strategy:
    • Defining and implementing strategies for channel growth and lead source optimization.
    • Identifying new opportunities and channels to expand our reach and effectiveness.
    • Owning MQL pipeline generation and top of funnel building activities from the marketing perspective.
  • Marketing plan development and execution:
    • Building out comprehensive marketing plan activities for the year.
    • Aligning marketing initiatives with overall business objectives and market trends.
    • Close partnership with the Sales team to communicate Canopy’s value proposition and ensure messaging alignment across all channels.
    • Implementing and executing the strategy that is co-developed with Sales and Canopy’s leadership team. Running lead-gen experiments and iterating to continue to drive inbound growth.
  • Vendor and contractor management:
    • Managing relationships with vendors and contractors, including four part-time design specialists (Friends by Design).
    • Ensuring that external partners align with Canopy’s standards and goals.
  • Performance reporting:
    • Taking ownership of performance reporting for all marketing activities.
    • Utilizing data to make informed decisions and to communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Budgeting and ROI analysis:
    • Setting and managing the budget for growth marketing investments.
    • Continuously assessing and reporting on the ROI of marketing initiatives.
  • Ownership of key marketing assets:
    • Complete responsibility for the maintenance and growth of key marketing assets.
    • This includes the management of the website, content creation, oversight of all advertising spend, and the management of social media platforms.
    • Cross-functional work with key stakeholders to ensure consistent Canopy messaging and positioning is reflected across all these assets.

    • Ability to effectively collaborate with both direct reports and indirect stakeholders.
    • Strong influencing skills to align diverse groups towards common goals.
  • Customer obsessed:
    • Interest in interacting with customers and participating in sales processes, primarily for learning and insights.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proven SaaS demand gen and marketing experience
    • At least 5 years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing or demand generation role, demonstrating a track record of top-of-funnel creation and early-stage pipeline acceleration.
    • Content-based marketing experience, with a track record in leveraging blogs, eBooks, and social, etc. to generate early-stage pipeline.
  • Understanding of GTM growth levers and product marketing:
    • In-depth knowledge of growth levers in Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies.
    • Experience in SaaS environments with a keen interest in deepening your understanding of technology and customer use cases.
    • Able to work across Sales, Implementations, CS, and Product to understand how our SaaS drives value and communicate that back to prospective buyers.
    • Ability to work closely with Product to build out Product Lead Growth (PLG) motion.
  • Business management acumen:
    • Exceptional focus on details, ensuring accuracy and quality in all marketing initiatives.
    • Skilled in managing teams of SMEs, guiding them towards deadlines and superior output.
    • Focused on ROI-based lead generation activity.
