With the recent hire of a Chief Procurement Officer and a company restructure to unlock growth at the storied Clorox Company, Procurement is poised to unlock tremendous value for the organization. The Group Manager, Marketing and Sales Indirect Procurement is the Procurement authority for Marketing and Sales Indirect Procurement at Clorox. This role drives category management of all Marketing and Sales spend at Clorox, with almost $500M USD in spend responsibility, and will interact with all levels of the enterprise, including C-Level colleagues. The Group Manager is a thought leader with an external focus who brings a deep understanding of best practices in the Indirect Procurement space. Alpharetta, GA is the preferred location for this role. Other locations and remote employees will be considered for this role, depending on experience. This role will travel 10-20%, with an expectation of 25% of travel for remote employees, during first six months of role In this role, you will: Drive Category Management and Procurement activities across Marketing and Sales Indirect spend (~$500M). Deliver KPIs for Marketing and Sales Indirect Procurement. Coach team on Category Management and best in class Procurement activities. Thought leader in Procurement activities across Sourcing organization, with passion for developing best-in-class sourcing team. What we look for: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) 10 years business experience in any of the following: Procurement, Marketing, Sales, Legal, Business Development. 3 years of experience managing marketing/innovation projects, working with suppliers/vendors/external partners, developing contracts or negotiating agreements. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related disciplines (Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance) Masters Degree or MBA Robust understanding of Marketing Procurement arena, including but not limited to Agency, Media, Print, and Promotion spend. Knowledge of Marketing and Sales contract terms Strong negotiation skills Ability to interface effectively across all levels of the organization including C-level teammates, with ability to influence without explicit authority Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex business situations clearly and articulately Planning and organization skills—Ability to establish work plans, multi-task and prioritize simultaneous projects Drive continuous improvement in procurement expertise.
