* Assists the Director and Associate Director of Steward Observatory/Dept. of Astronomy in administrative, operational and technical activities related to the research and operations of the department. Coordinate and maintain schedules, and serve as contact for Associate Director. Arrange and manage events/activities with external engineers, scientists and managers as necessary.

* Provide project technical support in producing proposals, monitoring task orders and managing resources based on the scope of projects and Principal Investigator's goals. Frequently interacts and maintains liaison with students, faculty, staff and outside/community agencies in facilitating department and program objectives.

* Develops budgets and tracks expenditures in Microsoft Excel. Prepares periodic reports, financial statements and records on program activities, progress, status or other special reports for management or outside agencies. Reviews and approves bi-weekly payroll.

* Understand technical details and effectively communicate with vendors. May purchase and track items. Responsible for Department purchasing card.
