Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless is Hiring an Administrative Manager Near Albuquerque, NM

Since 1985, Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless has dedicated its mission exclusively to providing services to people experiencing homelessness. AHCH provides a distinctive continuum of integrated care through outreach and site-based services to address the health-related causes and consequences of homelessness. Our vision is to live in a world that is just and without homelessness. We believe that homelessness is an issue that can be solved through access to quality health care, adequate and affordable housing, and a living wage.

We are currently looking for an individual to join our team as an Administrative Manager. The Administrative Manager is responsible for oversight and coordination of AHCH’s systems and workflows to ensure that the organization is running efficiently and effectively within the administrative function. This position provides direct supervision of administrative staff, coordinates communication/meetings with administrative staff embedded in other programs, and develops protocols for collaborative and cohesive systems across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage documented institutional knowledge to ensure continuity in departments
  • Build systems and structure to ensure that the administrative function runs efficiently across the organization
  • Lead, implement, and maintain the organization’s administrative support activities
  • Prepare and review operational reports pertaining to administrative function
  • Attend meetings and ensure appropriate documentation of meeting minutes
  • Conduct administrative audits to ensure quality of data and information being managed and distributed
  • Maintain and track updates for all policies and procedures
  • Hire and train administrative staff
  • Oversee administrative assistants
  • Develop strong relationships with cross-functional teams and departments
  • Develop and maintain internal messaging process for communication system (LED monitors) to ensure that communication across the AHCH campus is consistent and relevant
  • Work with other AHCH leadership to ensure that administrative requirements around operations are met

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner with all levels of organizational staff
  • Previous experience writing job aides, SOP documents
  • Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent skills in delegation and decision-making
  • High capacity for analyzing administrative needs and implementing solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in an administrative supervisory role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous administrative role in non-profit environment
  • Previous experience providing and maintaining documentation for Board of Directors
  • Previous Executive Administrative experience
  • Bilingual or Spanish speaking
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, Business, or other relevant degree
  • 5 years of experience in an administrative leadership role
