An international freight forwarding company located in the Indianapolis, Indiana area is looking for a motivated Customer Service Representative to support the international logistics operations. The ideal candidate will monitor and manage daily operations and perform customer supports. This position is full-time and direct hire, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Customer Service Representative Responsibilities:

• Respond to customers and transportation service providers and provide them with information of shipment tracking and financials
• Support to other departments with internal shared tasks
• Monitor and manage daily operations and perform timely and accurate data entry
• Address issues and claims when shipment problems occur
• Track and trace international shipments, and process documentation for them
• Collect, sort and distribute operational information internally
• Creates invoices and sends originals to billing parties
• Additional duties as assigned

Customer Service Representative Requirements:

• Associate’s degree preferred
• Previous work experience in a freight forwarder is a plus
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel
• Excellent communication skills in written / verbal English
• Adaptable with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline driven department
• This position will not support visa sponsorship or relocation expenses
• While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision
