The Center for Creative Arts provides music and art lessons, and summer camps in a nurturing environment to students of all ages, taught by professional artists and musicians. The Center is busy, fun, and creative! We are located in Glen Allen on the campus of Shady Grove United Methodist Church.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Registrar/Administrative Assistant to join us in a busy after-school music & art school. Hours are Monday - Thursday 2:30 p.m. - 8: 15 p.m. Job opening begins May 22, 2024 for on the job training.
The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. As Registrar, you will be responsible for registering and scheduling students, and communicating via email with parents and teachers.
Duties:
- Register and schedule students, create and record attendence sheets for instructors, process payments, create fliers, interesting bulletin boards, assist in social media marketing, and website updates. Create programs for bi-annual music recitals.
- Respond to phone calls and emails.
- Provide a welcoming environment to students, families & teachers.
- Perform general office duties, such as filing, scanning, and data entry
- Support office management by maintaining supplies and equipment
- Take minutes for quarterly Board meetings
Skills:
- Excellent phone etiquette with strong customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Good writing skills! Ability to manage scheduling via email, and respond to parent email inquiries.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficient in Google Docs
- Experience with Quickbooks useful!
- Previous experience in an administrative or office role preferred
