We are assisting our client, Eland Electric Corporation, a professional electrical services contractor located in Green Bay, Wisconsin, with the recruitment and selection of an Office & Accounting Assistant. Eland Electric prides itself in being one of the largest solar installers in the state of Wisconsin. With over 50 years of industry experience, Eland Electric specializes in electrical and automation fields. Through their qualified team of electricians, Eland Electric aims to provide customers with excellent service and quality solutions.
The Office & Accounting Assistant will assist the management team with managing customer relationships and providing excellent customer service. This individual will play a vital role in assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and contract administration. This position will also provide general administrative support by answering phone calls, scheduling meetings, and assisting with other general office duties. The individual in this position will be expected to be in-person at Eland Electric.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assists management team with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and contract invoicing process from start to finish.
  • Completes AR/AP and bank reconciliation at end of period.
  • Assists with general accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, balance cash accounts, and financial statements.
  • Monitors jobs from start to finish including tracking time and materials, materials transferring, and closing out jobs once complete.
  • Communicates with customers regarding payment collection and past due balances.
  • Prepares payroll information for processing. Maintains payroll records.
  • Audits invoices from services to verify accuracy of charges.
  • Assists with answering incoming phone calls regarding payments, billing questions and invoice questions
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Bachelor or Associates degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting preferred
  • 2 years of office management experience working in an Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable preferred; General Accounting experience is recommended
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good computer skills, especially utilizing Excel and bookkeeping software
