All About Hearing Service is Hiring a Medical Office Manager/Receptionist Near Green, WI

This employee will work in tandem with the healthcare provider to serve patients on location at an independent audiology clinic.

Envisioned areas of responsibility:

  • Finance and billing manager: verify and communicate patient insurance benefits, formulate pricing and billing strategy, manage insurance billing and patient payments, generate financial and other reports, record keeping.
  • Compliance manager: monitor legal and contractual requirements and ensure policies are in compliance.
  • Office manager: manage shipping and receiving of patient products, manage inventory of office supplies, manage equipment servicing, facility upkeep.
  • Primary patient interface: answer phones and correspondence, appointment scheduling, reception, intake paperwork and documentation.

The receptionist and some office manager responsibilities can be delegated to another employee in the future as the business grows.

The ideal candidate will have experience or demonstrate competence in the following areas:

  • Medical billing and coding, and working with health insurance companies
  • Working with electronic medical records or other database systems
  • Creating and adapting administrative/organizational systems
  • Maintaining a calm and caring demeanor in a fast-paced, unpredictable, public-facing environment
  • Familiarity with the local area

Experience with audiology or hearing aids is not required; we will train you in this area!

Company background:

We are a husband and wife team purchasing an existing business that has been operating for almost thirty years. To maintain the confidence of existing patients, the current owners would like to keep the identity of the business confidential for now. The clinic is located on the east side of Green Bay with easy highway access, and should be a convenient commute from Appleton and other areas.

As new business owners, we need an employee who is ready to be heavily involved in making decisions about how the business should operate and grow. This will be a highly collaborative environment, where giving and receiving thorough, clear, and respectful communication is expected. In transitioning this business to new ownership, relationships with patients, billers, and suppliers will need to be reestablished and cultivated. Records are currently kept on paper, and building and transitioning to electronic records will be a large early focus. Some portion of one day a week will be dedicated for administrative responsibilities, with no patient appointments. PTO and a stipend for health insurance will be offered. After a year or so, as the business becomes more firmly established, we expect to shift some of your responsibilities to new hires and/or increase salary.
