Job Description

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Learning and Development Manager in Human Resources as a part of Talent Management and Learning. For additional information on this line of business, refer to the external Careers Site at www.wellsfargojobs.com.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage a team of professionals to ensure project success and effective delivery of solutions
  • Engage stakeholders and internal partners
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
  • Provide tactical support in areas of learning related resource coordination, process, project management, and initiative development
  • Make decisions and resolve issues regarding resources, objectives, and operations to meet business objectives
  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with low to moderate complexity
  • Collaborate with more experienced managers and Human Resources professionals to recommend learning solutions to improve talent development, individual engagement, and retention
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Learning and Development Consulting
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
  • Drive accountability and results with a sense of urgency

Required Qualifications:

  • 4 years of Learning and Development Consulting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2 years of Leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
  • 2 years leading a team and managing day-to-day activities to execute on deliverables
  • Knowledge and understanding of retail banking
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking operations contact centers
  • Ability to motivate staff to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • A demonstrated focus on coaching, mentoring and guiding team member development 
  • Data analysis to inform learning strategy focused on performance outcomes
  • Ability to manage business partner priorities from a strategic and tactical level in a large HR organization
  • Knowledge and understanding of adult learning or education: facilitation and instructional design
  • Experience developing and cultivating professional relationships
  • Ability to deliver results with speed and agility
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Job Expectations:

  • Willingness to work on-site at the stated location below
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
