Objective:

• We are seeking Certified Medical Assistants to become a part of our WC Health team! You will perform routine clinical and supportive assignments working with our team of Providers serving patients in our medical clinic setting. The position is Monday - Friday, no weekends or evenings.

Essential Functions:

• Manage administrative duties as a part of patient care services provided, including locating relevant test results, taking vital signs, and ensuring the Providers have what is needed to see each patient.
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as UA's, COVID tests, and other Point of Care testing to support the services ordered by the Providers.
• Communicate with insurance companies, local pharmacies and specialty clinics for proper patient care and medication orders, along with proper billing procedures.
• Escort patients to exam rooms in preparation for the Providers' visit
• Work as a part of the team, to ensure we are doing all we can to provide excellent patient care, communication, and follow-through with those we serve.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Familiarity with medical billing procedures for clinic-based services
• Strong organizational skills and problem-solving techniques
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Finding satisfaction in a job well-done, meeting the needs of those we serve.
• Ability to type 25 words per minute
