The North Texas office of Walters, Balido & Crain is currently reviewing resumes for a paralegal with 2-plus years of experience in a law firm atmosphere to include maintaining a heavy calendar. Civil litigation/insurance defense experience is preferred. This is a position that requires a person who is well-organized and must be deadline driven. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Coordinate and schedule meetings, depositions, mediations, inspections;
• Communicate, via phone, emails, and written correspondence, with court coordinators, outside counsel, clients/adjusters, mediators, etc. to provide details and updates on upcoming events and various items;
• Compile various documents and case information to provide to experts, mediators, client/adjusters, outside counsel;
• Keep calendar up-to-date with case information and new developments including trials, hearings, deadlines;
• Confirm upcoming event and obtain all necessary information for said event;
• Draft, file, and serve various documents including deposition notices, hearing notices, scheduling orders, motion to quash, motion for continuance, motion for substitution of mediator, proposed orders, certificate of conference;
• Set up zoom meetings, reserve conference rooms & equipment, reserve conference call lines
• Maintain trial setting list & carrier’s quarterly case report

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, and Excel.
