VoxelMaps Inc. is Hiring a Director of Business Development (Strategic Accounts) Near Austin, TX

THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION IN THE USA. IDEAL LOCATION OF RESIDENCE WOULD BE AUSTIN, TX OR DENVER, CO. ALL OTHER LOCATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED BUT MUST LIVE IN THE LOWER 48 CONTINENTAL STATES.

Voxelmaps is building the world’s most accurate 4D volumetric model of the earth, combining high-resolution scans using the latest LiDAR and HD imaging sensors, fused with a wide variety of other rich content. The result is a new form of mapping which provides superior levels of accuracy, information, and insight. Voxelmaps has developed a patented technology that divides the planet into a dense matrix of multi-resolution voxels (3D pixels), with each voxel having a permanent location and address. The automated feature extraction is performed on this model using Voxelmaps’ developed AI software tools. 

DESCRIPTION

Voxelmaps is building a highly-skilled Sales Team to grow our geospatial and analytic products and services business. As a key member of the team, you will use your interpersonal skills to develop relationships to become a trusted advisor to our clients. This position will focus on key partner/sales channel relationships across multiple market segments. We are looking for individuals who are comfortable working with cutting edge technology to provide solutions to complex problems encountered by our current/future partners and clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reports directly to Chief Revenue Officer
  • Develop new business with a defined list of current Strategic Accounts and Prospects
  • Establish a network with existing account decision-makers in order to develop net new business
  • Act as the primary point of contact and handle strategic partners’ individual needs
  • Prospect and develop opportunities to contract/partner with Strategic Partner for clients that have a need for AI/VR Data Collection, User/UX Studies, geospatial, remote sensing and analytical solutions
  • Clearly articulate the strength and value proposition of Voxelmaps across the Partner organization
  • Understand the key business drivers within the assigned organization and identify key business stakeholders
  • Understand the Partner’s business development and customer acquisition processes
  • In conjunction w/Partner, develop and write winning proposals
  • Participate in trade shows, workshops, and seminars (as required)
  • Be resourceful and take initiative to resolve issues
  • Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities for business growth
  • Effectively utilize and leverage the company’s CRM (Pipedrive) to manage opportunities and drive the buying process.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in GIS, Remote Sensing or a related field
  • 7 years of quota carrying sales experience with multinational organizations in the Electrical Utilities, Transportation, Local Government, or AEC industries selling GIS, Remote Sensing, Field Data Collection Services, or similar products/services (highly recommended)
  • 5 years of Strategic Account sales experience a must
  • SaaS or DaaS sales and contracting experience
  • The ability to understand the key business drivers within an organization and identify key business stakeholders and business opportunities
  • Capability to interact with senior account leadership, up to and including C level executives.
  • Ability to solve complicated problems. Must have strong logic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships
  • Intermediate to high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems (Pipedrive, Salesforce)
  • Ability to travel domestically/internationally up to 35% if needed

Job Type: Permanent/Full Time
Salary: Base salary $130k per year, plus commission variable (DOE)

Location: Remote but must be available to travel to site locations within the USA and internationally
