Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Manager will be a team oriented individual with excellent communication, listening, and organizational skills. They will manage the full-cycle talent acquisition process; design and implement recruitment, interviewing, selection, and onboarding best practices which include partnering with hiring managers to update position descriptions and role profiles; formulating recruitment strategies and executing sourcing plans to identify and attract qualified candidates. They will be responsible for pre-screening candidates to assess their qualifications through a combination of behavioral and competency based interviewing, and monitoring requisition status to ensure an efficient recruitment process. They will also manage the internship program and serve as backup for HR operations as needed, to include benefits administration and HRIS updates.
Recruitment:
  • Develop a working knowledge of cities & departments in order to quickly identify hiring needs as well as how that fits into the broader organizational culture.
  • Cultivate and develop talent pipelines, especially for frequently filled positions.
  • Work creatively with city leaders and other departments to help create recruitment plans, identify resources for outreach and staffing needs.
  • Establish and maintain talent pipelines through proactive sourcing, targeted engagement, and passive candidate recruitment; Participate in recruitment events and develop outreach efforts
Applicant Tracking System (ATS):
  • Manage Applicant tracking system to include timely and accurate record-keeping, reporting, and analytics
  • Utilize job boards to disseminate employment opportunities.
  • Convert job descriptions into persuasive marketing documents prior to posting:
  • Be actively involved in candidate sourcing:
  • Design and facilitate interview and selection training programs for hiring managers
