Overview:

United Fruit & Produce is seeking a dynamic General Manager to oversee our bustling Deli operations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader who can effectively manage the day-to-day activities of the deli while serving as a liaison between the production team and upper management. This role requires strong communication skills, business acumen, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

Oversee the daily operations of the deli, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to established processes and procedures.

Manage inventory levels, ordering, and stocking to meet customer demand while minimizing waste.

Customer Experience:

Uphold high standards of customer service, ensuring that all guests receive prompt and friendly assistance.

Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.

Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the customer experience and drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Financial Management:

Work closely with upper management to develop and implement sales and promotional strategies to drive revenue growth.

Monitor financial performance metrics, such as sales trends, margins, and expenses, and take proactive measures to achieve budgetary goals.

Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies without compromising quality or service.

Communication and Collaboration:

Serve as the primary point of contact between the deli team, led by the current manager and upper management.

Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between departments to ensure alignment on goals, initiatives, and priorities.

Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on deli performance, challenges, and opportunities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence and deliver exceptional customer service.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems preferred.

Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
