Accounting Manager

Reports to: Controller

Classification: Exempt

SUMMARY

The Accounting Manager will manage general accounting and financial processes of our company and be responsible for all daily accounting tasks. The individual will perform financial transactions and post them in the general ledger, with strong attention to detail and will also carry out relevant administrative duties (e.g. responding to internal clients via email and phone calls). The Accounting Manager also provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and assisting in the preparation of financial statements. 

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Daily cash reporting
• Month-end cash reconciliations & treasury functions 
• Reconcile bank statements
• Record Insurance allocations
• Record intercompany allocations
• Record fixed assets
• Month End close duties
• Work with Controller to build necessary month end close packages for private equity backers
• Work with Controller on M&A activities including analysis and acquisition accounting entries
• Accounts Payable approvals
• Prepare documents for tax returns and audits (as needed)
• General ledger reconciliations

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum of 3-5 years directly related work
• Preferred 2-4 years of accounting experience at a Big 4 firm
• Preferred CPA or CMA designation
• Great analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Suite 
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and other departments
• Familiarity with accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and organize efficiently

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

• Able to work an agreed upon standard schedule
• Additional hours as job duties demand

TRAVEL - OTHER

• Travel to domestic Trilogy facilities when necessary (less than 10%)
• Must have a current, valid driver's license
• Able to be insurable under our company's liability insurance policy
